Well... after weeks of pondering and trying to reject the idea, getting sick - and thus making me even more depressed over the epic fucking FAIL that holidays generally end up being - turned out to be the last straw. So, I threw in the towel, got out my loli dress of DOOM AND LACE AND WONDERFULNESS and announce to the world that I AM INDEED GOING TO AVCON NEXT WEEKEND!!!!!

AVCon, for those I haven't had a chance to rant to yet, is my city's anime and video came convention, and it's AWESOME!! Srsly, we don't get voice actors like you Supanova-goers ((because let's face it; Adelaide's the 'hidden gem' of Australia, here meaning it's a HOLE)), but we get yaoi, yuri, lolita, ball jointed doll, drawing and AMV pannels and all the usual con-fare as well~
Plus they've changed the venue this year; up til last year it was held at the University, which would've been fine enough because the Uni's huge and has gorgeous grounds and buildings and everything... but THIS year, they've moved it to the convention centre because it can hold more stalls and stuff. <3

So cha; needless to say, after being stuck at home wishing I was either dead or in an eternal sleep for at LEAST half of my two-week break... I'm excited. Very fucking excited. And I'm slightly more organised than I was last year with my "HOLISHIT AVCONS TOMORROW MUST ARRANGE SHIT" to boot.
... und so, my life is SLIGHTLY LESS CRAPPY THAN IT WAS YESTERDAY!! YAAAAAAAY!!

Although, the one thing that's bothering me is the fact that the person I agreed to go with is my ex, her best friend, and her ex. xDDDDDD;; I can't help but wonder if I'm making a bad decision given we haven't talked much in a good two years... but at the same time I think it should still be a lot of fun, because I've got someone I can easily tolerate with so much else going on to lean on if I get sick of wandering around looking like a loner.

... which, considering it's a biiiiig place that I've never even been to before, with enough nice, pretty people - and even prettier merchandise <3 - to make my little curly head spin... isn't neccessarily likely either xDDDDDD But still, for someone who's used to doing her own thing but also likes having familiar faces around, it's weirdly comforting. Or maybe not so weird? xDDDDDD;; I don't know.

ANDANDAND MOST IMPORTANTLY SO READ THIS:
I'll be posting something for the beautiful tomorrow or later tonight. <3 I LOVE IT; it's adorable; it WILL make her and coo like the schoolgirls they so clearly are, and I only used a reference for one part of it. Generally, I don't use references for my art, but the characters in this particular show are VERY UNCOOPERATIVE when it comes to drawing the bastards _{however cute the result inevitably is} ... so I'm happy. ^W^
